The IISHF
The International Inline Skater Hockey Federation (IISHF) is the international umbrella organisation for organised inline skater hockey at association level. It unites national member associations from several European countries and is responsible for the coordination, organisation and further development of the international game.
The central tasks of the IISHF include the definition and continuous development of the international rules and regulations, the organisation of official tournaments and championships and the support of the member associations in sporting and organisational matters. The IISHF acts independently and on a non-profit basis with the aim of creating standardised framework conditions for international competition.
A major focus of the association’s work is on planning and organising international competitions. These include the European Cups for club teams and the official European Championships for national teams in various age groups. These events are organised in accordance with clearly defined regulations and are subject to the sporting and administrative supervision of the IISHF.
The IISHF sees itself not only as a rule-maker, but also as a platform for exchange, development and promotion within the sports community. The association maintains a close dialogue with its member nations, supports structural developments in the respective countries and is committed to the sustainable further development of sport in an international context.
In addition, the IISHF deals with overarching issues such as eligibility to play, refereeing, disciplinary matters and the certification of international events. Transparent procedures, clear responsibilities and structured committee work form the basis for international co-operation.
With its activities, the IISHF makes a significant contribution to the professionalisation of international match operations and ensures that sporting fairness, organisational reliability and mutual respect remain the basis of international competition.
